The SKYMAN Tandem is available in sizes 37 and 39, each with a different focus. The 37 uses D10 fabric for uncompromising lightweight construction, while the Tandem 39 is made from the more robust D20. This gives pilots the choice between minimum weight and increased durability, depending on how and where the wing will be used.

Weighing just over 5 kg, the lightweight construction of the SKYMAN Tandem 37 makes a real difference on the way to take-off as well as in the air. It turns directly and, especially when working thermals, keeps control pressure low. Its design is focused on agility and direct handling, giving it a flying character surprisingly close to that of a solo wing. The lightweight construction further enhances this character.

One of the Tandem 37's key strengths is its broad weight range of 110 to 179 kg. It does not need to be heavily loaded to fly really well. Even with a light passenger, it remains agile and is genuinely fun to fly in thermals.

At take-off, the SKYMAN Tandem rises easily and cleanly above pilot and passenger and starts generating lift early in the take-off run. This is a real advantage in light winds or on shorter launch sites.

Landing is another of its strong points. Even in nil wind, it flares very effectively, converting speed into lift when it matters most – exactly what you want from a tandem wing.

With its low weight and compact pack size, the Tandem 37 is an obvious choice for Hike & Fly. But limiting it to that role would miss the point. Thermalling, cross-country flying, travelling or everyday tandem flying are just as much part of its territory. For pilots who put greater emphasis on durability, the Tandem 39 in D20 is the ideal alternative.
